Today’s Post is Brought to you by Pipeline Guy: Announcing Pipeline Club
Pipeline Guy:
Pipeline is the answer to what will make you great at sales. With a full pipeline you will:
- be a consultative seller

- hit your quota/income goals
We’re looking for a limited number of you who want to level up your pipeline to join the 90-day Pipeline Club challenge cohort asap.
Pipeline generation (PG), is hard.
What makes it even harder:
there is A LOT of conflicting advice on how to execute
every org is different - offering a chasm of solutions, commercial models, and go to market motions.
The advice provided in the social ether can be overwhelming, to say the least. It’s just “outbound” looks different when you add in the context of:
startup vs established corp
enterprise org vs smb
sales/marketing personas vs developer/finance
new business vs upsell vs renewal
your org’s tech stack
The list goes on.
For someone starting an outbound program, has never done sales, or just beginning their sales journey - all this can lead to “paralysis by analysis”, which is the worst scenario of all, because you get nothing done.
Even if you’ve been doing this for a while you can get stuck in a rut. I’m guilty of this at times and have to remind myself to get back to the basics.
Approaching any difficult task often requires stripping components down to simple components. Once you master the basics, you can refine over time.
It’s really this simple:

(if you’re not already following, BTSG substack is the holy grail of sales methodology)
Today’s article will cover these simple mechanics, along with prompts so that you can execute quickly and effectively.
If you’re just starting out you’ll have a clear idea of what to focus and build on.
If you’re a vet, you’ll have some takeaways to help you refine or add on
Prompts provided to help get you started
What we’ll cover:
Tech Stack
Prospect Signals + Prompts
Prompts for Simple Messaging
Tech Stack
Won’t spend too much time here. Primarily because it’s dependent on your org. However if you’re just getting started or want to supplement, here’s what I recommend:
LinkedIn Sales Navigator (for signals & prospect/company info)
Apollo for Sales Engagement (outbound scaling, automation, list building)
Hubspot for CRM
Veerview for supplemental data enrichment (has a database of very accurate info), you can follow the founder, TJ, on X.
Worth noting, I use both Veerview and Apollo to supplement my data.
Prospect Signals + Prompts
Signals fall under “buyer research”. I’ve covered more in depth account research in the past, along with developing your POV. I won’t cover them too much because EOD, the basics are get you where you need to be - quickly:
I recently did this exercise after getting my new territory. Use AI to help you ideate and prioritize:
Here’s a prompt you can use:
Once you get the outputs, prompt again to prioritize:
Prompts for Simple Messaging
Now you want to have a clear, scalable message that helps you not only communicate to your buyer, but the level they’re at.
You can then replug back into AI to refine and/or test accordingly.
The goal is that you have a structured framework that you can produce in about an hour.
You can also use these prompts to refine your process if you’re in a rut, or find ways to make it more efficient, like I’ve been.
GET TO WORK.
